This Privacy Policy explains how DerbyParty collects, uses, and protects information when you use the application and participate in an event operated through DerbyParty. This policy is available without an account at /Privacy.

Information We Collect

We may collect your name, mobile phone number, optional email address, account credentials, profile image, wagers, token activity, event participation, and technical information needed to operate and secure the service. We also record the date and time of your consent to receive text messages.

How We Use Information

We use your information to create and validate your account, administer events, process wagers and event tokens, send service and event notifications, provide support, prevent fraud or misuse, maintain records, and comply with applicable law.

Text Messages

During account creation, you may optionally check an unchecked consent box to receive automated text messages at the mobile number you provide. Messages may include account validation, password resets, account security, and notifications related to the event. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to stop messages or HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of purchase or participation.

We will not deny access to the service because you do not consent to text messages. If you opt out, contact the event organizer for available alternatives to text-message account validation or event updates.

How We Share Information

We may share information with the event organizer and service providers that help operate DerbyParty, including hosting, database, security, and communications providers such as Twilio. These providers may use information only to perform services for us. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights or safety, or as part of a business transfer.

We do not sell or rent personal information. Mobile information, mobile phone numbers, text-message opt-in data, and messaging consent will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.

Data Retention and Security

We retain information for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain event and transaction records, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no electronic system is completely secure.

Your Choices

You may review or update account information through your account settings. You may opt out of text messages by replying STOP. Requests to access, correct, or delete other personal information may be directed to the organizer of the event through which you received access to DerbyParty, subject to legal and recordkeeping requirements.

Children's Privacy

DerbyParty is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
